FOR ISSUE 20 (2026)

INTERDISCIPLINARITY IN HUMANITIES RESEARCH

Proposals are invited for monographs that, based on a specific object of study, relate two or more of the disciplines to which the publication is dedicated: philosophy, history and literature.

Requirements:

- Submit a summary of the proposal (300-500 words) including a clear and concise description of the subject matter, its relevance and originality, objectives and main lines of work.

- Presentation of the CV of the person(s) in charge. 

- The coordinators of the dossier (maximum 2) should preferably belong to universities in different countries or be affiliated to different institutions.

- Proposals may be submitted in English or Spanish

Other details of interest:

- Once the proposal has been selected, a call for contributions will be prepared and disseminated. The papers for the monograph will be received by open call for papers and submitted to a blind peer review process.

- The associate editors will have the following functions

o Actively participate in the call for papers.

o To carry out the first review of the papers received

o Collaborate by suggesting peer reviewers

o Propose to the Editorial Secretary the potential peer reviewers for each case.

o Writing the proem of the monograph

o To collaborate with the dissemination of the issue and with any presentation and dissemination activities planned by the journal.

o Please note: associate editors may not include works of their own authorship among the studies.

Humanidades: revista de la Universidad de Montevideo is a scientific, peer-reviewed journal of Philosophy, History and Literature, published every six months in June and December of each year and aimed at a specialised readership. Its aim is to constitute an open forum in which the disciplines dialogue with each other and contribute new knowledge. Indexed in: Latindex, Scielo, ERIHPLUS, Dialnet, DOAJ, EBSCO-Academic Search Ultimate, Scopus.
